I’m sure we have a word or two to say about localised versions of some packages and ZA-language spell checkers, etc.

I think there should definitely be a section on setting up local-infrastructure connections. Most of the content could be generic and then add in sections for SA-specific things. Perhaps a small section from Translate.org.za?

Are you planning to keep it as general as possible, or would there be some focus on South Africa? If there is a South African focus I would suggest adding instructions for common setup tasks such as internet via Vodacom/MTN/whatever 3G.
