Spent the morning working on OpenZA. The upgrade was long overdue but because of time I hadn’t got around to it. The changes from the previous BuddyPress release to this one are quite substantial so it wasn’t plain sailing. Let me know if things break for you.

Kanian, Ubuntu is a good place to start. If you’re worried about performance then maybe Xubuntu would be the best choice because it is less resource intensive. Otherwise Ubuntu or Kubuntu should work reasonably well on your machine.

This doesn’t get around spammers registering as users but it does prevent them posting. Over the weekend I spent the best part of an hour clearing spammers from the database.
